Title: Rich Energy to take over Force India??

I just read that the British Energy drinks company is in talks to take over Force India. They definitely have more money than the current Force India share holders and I guess Vijay Mallya needs to concentrate on keeping out of Indian jails.

I'm surprised that Red Bull has gone this long without their competition trying out team ownership themselves, or at least providing title sponsorship.

...and then get their driveway concreted in again because EJ still has the trademark on that (I don't think it expires for another 3 years :D)

Red Bull bought Jaguar from Ford for $1us.  I presume Mallya wants more from selling FIF1.

$1 plus taking over the debts. Which in Force India's case are not small.

Also, I'm not taking The Express on its own as proof (and I can't see any other source), given that the UK tabloids have gone on a "let's sling as much mud on F1 as possible" mood this week.

The question is, will Force India also change their "paint job" before the green light in Melbourne? (as they did last year from the silver,bronze,black ... to Force Pink!!!).

Force India's paint job is defined mostly by their main sponsor now (BWT) so I guess it will stay pink regardless of the owner until a new sponsor comes on board! 

I have read a lot saying that this Rich Energy don't have enough money to run a team.  It would be sad to see such a well run team in the wrong hands after VJ Mallya (who is obviously not a Saint either!)

Indeed, good news on the Paint Job .. and disappointing news of VM (I used to think he was a funky, likeable guy) ... but once again, another F1 TP who has dirty linen in the cupboard!!

Never mind Force India, hopefully this will soon be water under the bridge!  :-[

Although pretty much the most direct 'rivals' to Williams, I respect all the independent teams so think Force India really do deserve good new owners should they be sold.  They are very shrewd operators and I think all teams could learn a thing or two from them. 

Damn them for beating Williams though  >:D

As long as Rich Energy aren't there just to flip the team...we've seen how badly some of those go.
