Title: Is Toto really thinking of Antonelli as Lewis replacement in Mercedes F1 team?
Post by: John S on April 03, 2024, 03:52:07 PM
From the intensive testing in old F1 machinery he's giving Young 17 year old Kimi Antonelli something's afoot.
That's an awful lot of miles in an F1 car for such a junior driver.

Is Toto straining to use his inner Marko.  :D
Has he identified a new Max for the grid?  :DntKnw:

Makes a certain degree of sense.

Toto hasn't really successfully shepherded an F1 driver into the sport (or has he?  Was Russell a protege of his?)

Being able to find 'the next Max' must be a goal for many people running F1 teams.

He looks promising and F1 needs a Italian driver

Looks like Seb has his hat in the ring, too.

It seems like I can remember another German F1 driver who used to drive for Ferrari and came out of retirement to drive for Mercedes. Maybe Vettel want to follow his hero's example.

Give the youngsters a chance. I think Vettel is past
his due date.
