Watch a 3D animation of what a lap could look like at the planned Rio de Janeiro circuit that wants to take over F1's Brazilian Grand Prix.

Aside from a few unsighted corners that could cause havoc, it looks fairly bland. Brazil as an F1 destination is mostly a romantic notion imo. I would rather see South Africa, or another race in the US or best of all, in Switzerland!

Bring back San Marino

Couldn't agree more Dare. :good:

Boring Tilke designed snore-fest.
Why change from Sao Paulo when it has a great history and is a much more exciting track then what this is proposed to be.
As Dare said....bring back San Marino.
I also like the Swiss idea but get another designer...Tilke makes boring tracks.

I like how the simulated track has a 'rubbered in' racing line, and that the simulated car doesn't always stick to the racing line.
As for design, what is the obsession with straightaways? While DRS makes them the best place to pass, it's not an exiting pass when you're flat out for 10 seconds before simply driving past someone. A nice short DRS zone still requires some skill to take advantage of they system.

Technically Deodoro's not contracted yet - this is mostly coming from the new Brazillian president wanting to favour his home region, in this case by replacing Jaracapaguea with a shadow of its former self.
