Title: Worlds Fastest RC Car
Post by: Wizzo on July 10, 2009, 09:36:15 AM
Remember when you used to love to look at pictures of The Blue Flame and the Budweiser Rocket. They looked more like rockets than cars, and broke several land speed records.

It would appear that someone has put this speed in miniature remote control form with the Picket Rocket, which is most likely the world’s fastest RC car at 161 miles per hour. Not fast enough for you? Designer Nic Case wants to increase that speed to over 200 miles per hour.  :o

I very much doubt this will ever be mass-marketed, there has got to be some sort of safety regulations for a product like this. Plus you would need your very own runway to play with it.

Anyway, I’m not certain what the fuel this car uses but something tells me that it has to be a lot stronger than a couple of AA batteries!

Schumacher is a well known manufacturer of R/C cars. I'm not familiar with this undoubtably specially built car, but it's probably powered by LIPO batteries running a brushless motor unless it's one of their 2-stroke alky engines.
