Not really an F1 experience as such, but I was in Southampton airport in England catching a flight home to Belfast, I was just walking to board my aircraft when I bumped into none other than former F1 world champion Damon Hill.
I had to go over to shake hands and have a photo taken with him, he wasn't up for much of a chat (I think he had been badgered quite a bit in a busy airport) but was more than happy to have a photo taken. I wish I had gone to WH Smith to buy an F1 mag for him to autograph but I didn't have time.

Great bit of luck, David! I'd like to see the pix.

Wow, lucky dog. I see Damon's cut his hair! Guess I'll have to be off to the barber. ;)

Good job! Did you tell him to check out our forum? :good:

I didn't Scott, to be honest he wasn't much up for chatting. Can't blame him with some stranger with a strong Northern Irish accent approaching him and saying "What about ye Damon". Good thing actually as I just made my flight before the gate closed and I didn't want to be stuck in England on a Friday night. I did say are you on tour way to Belgium for the GP but he was heading for Manchester. :o
