Seems more than a few ZZZZs ahead of the Melbourne GP in 2001 was the order of the day. :swoon:

Sounds totally like Kimi.

From what I remember reading in the papers, Kimi was a bit of a wild child back in his early F1 years. I particularly remember stories surrounding his drunken outings at local bars/clubs etc.
So, yes! ... I can well believe the title of this topic. Did you know that I used to call Kimi "Mono Man" a few years back, purely down to his mono-tone interviews on the podium.
Season's Best,
Cal :)

I got Kimi's book of Haikku for Christmas and it is a thoroughly entertaining read, with such nuggets as:
If we all feel normal
then all of my friends are
also not normal
I mean, outstanding stuff. I like Kimi for the fact he is so different to the others.

I remember that, and I remember thinking who is this spoiled kid who can't get excited about his first F1 race!
-
That's the Kimi we've all come to know, the Ice Man even back then!

Kimi is the man... well if you are having trouble sleeping just listen to him for 5 minutes and you will be out for the count. It works every time hehe

I remember this too. F1 Magazine was impressed with his cool-as-a-cucumber attitude to the whole thing, and (correctly) predicted greatness and a World Championship.
