Title: Happy New Year!!
Post by: Scott on December 31, 2016, 08:30:20 AM
Due to the nature of my business, I probably won't be able to get on GPW again today, so I just wanted to wish everyone a peaceful, prosperous and above all, joyful 2017.

We have a massive year of change ahead of us.  It is going to be our last year at the helm of our hotel.  We have a sale contract in place and at the end of 2017 will be moving on to greener pastures.  It has been a fun ride, but also a very difficult ride and we are truly looking forward to life unencumbered by a 7/24 business.  I will still need work, so will be doing some job hunting in my spare time over the next year.

So to everyone, have a very...

:yahoo: :yahoo: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! :yahoo: :yahoo:

All the best to all.  Echoing Scott,  may you have a happy peaceful and prosperous new year.  Good luck with the job hunting Scott.  Looks like I'd better get to Switzerland soon to get some cycling done  ;)

On this final day of chapter 2016, I would like to wish all of you on the forum a happy and prosperous 2017.

I'm looking forward to the coming Formula 1 season and discussing some of the issues and racing with you all.  Life is good!

A happy new year to all of you. It should be quite a year for F1 with all of the major tech changes on tap. I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about.

Steve tells me you can bike year round in England, so maybe I'll swing by your neighbourhood one day soon and enjoy a beer with you Ian (wine is nothing more than spoiled grape juice in my eyes).

The bad part about New Years Day here in the States - unless you work for the Government or a bank, the next work holiday is almost 6 months away! (Memorial Day, last Monday in May)

No, the house goes with the hotel.  Probably the same region at least to start.  Probably look for a rental for a little while and then figure out what the next 5 year plan is.

I have some background in IT Purchasing and IT Sales, but although I haven't dipped my toe into the job market here, I imagine perfect English will come in handy for multinationals in Switzerland, maybe look for a job as a North American purchaser.

  • Finally if you want to cycle all year, drink good varied beer and be a retirement employee then top of the south New Zealand is the place for you.

You forgot to add Earth tremors to your list of South NZ things to appreciate Andy.  ;) :D

Oh Andy,  you can cycle all year round, I'm pretty much a fairweather cyclist and have only had voluntary 2week break.  It's cold but gloves and a Buff make all the difference,  you might look like you are off to rob a post office but at least you are warm.

To all the members of my beloved GPWizard Community I would like wish a great, joyful, prosperous and brilliant 2017 ahead of you.

It has been a hell of a ride for me 2016, had so many ups and downs, but at the end of the day it made a better person, gave me a better perspective on life.

Like Scotty I am expecting some major changes in my field of work, keeping my fingers crossed.
