Title: Australian GP Likely to be Postponed
Post by: cosworth151 on January 06, 2021, 04:17:52 PM
Due to the continuing Covid situation, the Australian Grand Prix will likely be postponed. The race is scheduled for March 19-21. Currently, all travelers arriving in Victoria must self-isolate for 14 days. With pre-season testing scheduled for March 2-4 in Barcelona it would be practically impossible to make the current date.

I think by now we know that this virus is no joke.

Whatever it takes to stay safe, please do it.

(I know F1 can't run indefinitely like it did in 2020, but damn if that wasn't a classic season, even with Hamilton/Mercedes winning runaway championships)

I quite enjoyed watching the 2020 season as they took us to tracks we might never have seen again.
Estoril being my fav.
Covid 19 is not a joke or a hoax and has not begun to take out the millions that the Spanish Flu last century did. We now have respirators and medicine that was not available then but as this strain continues to evolve we will see this continue for a while yet.
Listen to the authorities and wear a mask in public.
Wash your hands.
Stay safe!

I heard that the vaccines do not work against the new strain currently hitting the UK and beginning to be seen in the US.

It seems you have heard wrong as the current vaccines are working against the new strains well. It is also undecided if this will be an annual vaccination like the flu one which is also a Corona virus.
