Title: WEBBER PONDERS FUTURE
Post by: davewilson on July 31, 2006, 11:30:35 PM
Mark Webber has admitted that he may still leave Williams for Renault at the end of the season.

However, the Aussie made little sense as he 'explained' his present status with the Grove outfit.

"We did basically a four-year deal in 2004 and Monday is the date where we say yes or no," Webber was quoted as saying by Reuters.

"It's not no, but it's not yes as it was potentially."

P-F1 hasn't been so confused since Donald Rumsfield announced during the second Gulf War, "Reports that say that something hasn't happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know."

Webber did offer a more lucid hint that his future may lie away from Williams. Asked to comment on speculation linking him with Renault, the Aussie replied:

"If there is a choice between Kimi and Webber, they'll take Kimi. It's a no-brainer. I've got six points this year. That's the food chain, that's life mate. We'll see what happens with Michael [Schumacher] and Kimi, we don't know who is going to Renault or McLaren. There's seats out there."

"I've got to look through how I see what's going to happen here in the future," he added of Williams. "They are a good team, a good bunch of guys. It can't be any worse next year
