Title: F1 Strategy Group Talks Changes for 2018
Post by: cosworth151 on April 26, 2017, 12:33:17 PM
The F1 Strategy Group met in Paris to discuss changes for the 2018 season.

One of them is to insure "that designs incorporating the 'T-wing' and 'shark fin' will be strictly limited." I'm not sure what advantage this brings to the sport. It should make it cheaper for Minichamps and other companies to make miniatures of the blander, less interesting, more standardized cars.

They also call for a "shield" device to be placed in front of the cockpit. It is said to look like the front part of a canopy.

On the positive side, they are talking about standing starts after red flag periods.
