Title: Lego lovers get ready, brick built Renault F1 car set for auction
Post by: John S on January 29, 2019, 10:32:47 AM
Start saving your pennies if you fancy a life size Lego replica of the 2017 RS17 F1 car.
No oily engine but it does come with real Pirelli tyres.  :D

Newey would have kittens with the aerodynamic issues those lego bricks would cause  :D

It's going in the garage with the rest of my lego.

Lego is actually the largest producer of tires in the world by total unit count.

For added realism, you could mount the smoke generator from a Lionel model steam loco in the back to simulate a combusting Renault engine.

Didn't James May make a life size working motorbike out of Lego? Or was it made out of Meccano? I know he made a life size Lego house....that was soooooo cool.

With all those gaps between the lego bricks, cool would certainly be a way to describe it!

Now you are just being picky Luke, you have to think of the positives....
1= it looks pretty
2= free air-con on a hot day
3= if you don't like it you can always knock it down and start again....crikey I feel I am going into an Ed Sheeran song. He is so lovely, I have met him a few times.
4= you can re locate yourself when ever you want  :D

An Ed Sheeran track coming on the radio is my cue to volume off, in my opinion he's only made 1 decent track and that's Castle on the Hill.

You leave Mr Sheeran alone Ian  |-( He is lovely and so normal. When I saw him he just came over and had a chat. Not like a normal stuck up celebrity.

Ian... You actually know the name of an Ed Sheeran song?  I now think you could be protesting too much!

... I have to admit, I do like 'Castle on the Hill' also.  It's one of those songs where most of us can relate to the growing up message one way or another.

Best Regards,
Cal :)
