FIA finally releases updated F1 driving standards guidelines
« on: April 22, 2022, 12:36:40 PM »
We're at the 4th race of the season and finally we get sight of the driving standards guidelines. Now we should know when overtakes go wrong, etc. etc.

Wait a mo though;  :stop: "for avoidance of doubt, these are merely guidelines to assist the stewards in their decision making and are non-binding".
What's that mean then?????  :DntKnw:

It means this, John:

It means the FIA remains free to break its own code and thus it only means what the FIA wants it to mean.

In other words, useless unless the drivers themselves feel like obeying it.
