https://twitter.com/ClaireVWilliams
Anyone else follow this? She posts interesting behind the scenes stuff on the Williams team and put up loads of shots during testing, and currently seems to be doing the same throughout the factory. Twitter is becoming a great place for F1 people to bring the sport to the people.

I look at Claire's twitter from time to time I think it is the Williams quasi-official twitter page, well it certainly comes from the PR dept. Most other teams seem to have the same sort of arrangement so the twitter pages have all sorts of names.
For instance FIF1 is http://twitter.com/clubforce and Renault is http://twitter.com/rf1paddockpass
They are great for keeping an eye on the teams during testing and I guess they will be active at the race build ups.

Interestingly enough, Williams' official Twitter presence is @williamsf1 , so @ClaireVWilliams is probably an off-shoot, a sort of "formal personal" Twitter account rather than a team one.
-
The thing with the @williamsf1 account is that there is nothing on the account. The official site now links straight to Claire's feed so I was surprised to see Autosport didn't give her link on the season preview article.

Claire is brilliant, always a happy snapper. Great insight and a real gem for the F1 paddock as she gives us some good behind the scenes snaps! Long may she continue.
-
My only problem with her is that she ignores my messages :'(
My plans to infiltrate the team are being thwarted >:D

Force India decidedly does not ignore mine (http://formula1home.com.au/forum/weblog_entry.php?e=882)...

Goes to show it pays to make the effort on both sides. :good:
Great question by the way Ali, I'm sure it helped that they understood there was a real F1 fan's insight behind it. Force India seems to really appreciate their fans, I'm still not convinced to join the ranks but I wish you all well.

That is great Ali! It is a nice feeling when a team acknowledge you. I had a photo accepted onto the new Williams site and that felt great, but I'd be really pleased to get a reply like that from the team! Force India seem like a really decent bunch and are really shooting up the list of teams I look out for behind my lot :good:

That is great to see! And WF, I think you may have more joy with Nico than Claire! :DD
