Title: Top 50 F1 drivers by average points scored per race
Post by: John S on May 01, 2020, 11:58:05 AM
Recently released vid from Racing Statistics placing drivers in order of WC points scored per race, including all seasons since 1950 - recalculated with the current Points System.

Makes for interesting viewing, with some surprising placings.

N.B. You might wanna turn the sound down a bit, I found the accompanying music a bit annoying when watching.

Very cool, John. Thanks!  :good:

To avoid spoilers, I'll just say that #1 was who I guessed it would be.

I would think there's a little bit of recency bias, given how reliable modern cars are.  I'd like to see an average points per finish, takes reliability out of the equation a little.

Also, given how dominant Michael Schumacher was, a lot of his contemporaries are also in the listing!
