Just in case we have any Caterham fanciers in the group. ![]() https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/11/business/caterham-seven-racecar.html April 10, 2026, 04:04:41 AM by lkjohnson1950

Views: 1272 | Comments: 8 I was intrigued when recently a friend of mine told me an aquaintance of his in the military had to shut off lots of functions on a hired car to stop 3rd party tracking. Routinely military user cars are checked over to make sure no data collection is possible by auto makers or others, he said. Personally I'd never heard of car makers collecting real time data, and more to the point giving access to 3rd or even 5th, 6th, 7th parties. Just shows how big brother is circling in on us all! ![]() April 01, 2026, 11:57:02 PM by lkjohnson1950

A little bad luck to prevent a 1-2, but that's racing. Antonelli - a young driver with a bad start, if he'd just putted around in 6th place, I don't know that anyone would have blamed him. Yes, he got some luck from the safety car, but he really did demonstrate he's not just a winner, but a champion racer. Piastri - actually raced a race! Definitely showed that he could take the fight to Mercedes. Hamilton - he's clearly not as good as he once was, time comes for us all. Still, he's probably got the best understanding of these rules, and puts up far more fight anyone else has so far. If Ferrari can give him a little more speed, he can wring some wins out of these rules Zeroes Aston Martin - no change Coverage - sure, the excitement was at the head of the field, but there was very little coverage of the midfield. I have no idea what Max was up to. I think he had a pretty good race considering where he started, but watching the race didn't really help. FIA - They dialed down the power in the cars, and there was less passing. Is it just because Suzuka is hard to pass at? Or were things more exciting without 'clipping'?
