If they run this on the streets of Amsterdam it could bring a whole new meaning to the Red Lights going out!

A great track is available but they're looking at yet another pretty building parade. Sadly typical. To quote The Who, here's to the new boss, same as the old boss. :'(

Totally right. Zandvoort is a great track while round the houses racing has lost much of its charm.

Is Zandvoort up to date for running an F1 race? It's been a while, and plenty of former F1 tracks would need to be refit to host F1 again. Is someone willing to make that investment, especially if F1 fans may depart once Max-Mania fades?
On the other hand, a street track has much more infrastructure in place and more pockets feeding the total bill.
I prefer purpose built tracks too, but I'm not prepared to pay for them.

Last I heard, the owners were trying to do so.

The track itself is in pretty good shape, but of course the
palaces paddock needs sprucing up.
