70 years ago today, October 9th, 1940, John Winston Lennon was born in Liverpool.
He went on to change the world.
For some reason, there are two things stuck in my mind today. First was the first time I saw the Beatles, on The Ed Sullivan Show in February, 1964. The other was when Howard Cosell broke into his Monday Night Football broadcast to announce that John had been killed.
I'm really at a bit of a loss right now as to what else to say.

I was 17 when I heard the news. Was warming up the car listening to news on the radio the next morning getting ready for school....I didn't go. Not ashamed to say I shed a tear that day.
