That was ridiculous! They need to be put on probation that if they do anything like that again in the next year or two that they will be banned for life.

A two-race ban was issued to the staff involved, and from other rumours I've seen, the staff are unlikely to have jobs to return to (anywhere in the team) after they serve the penalty. (Note that the reason the two-race ban is delayed is because immigration rules prevent the staff from being replaced before a certain point, and an immediate ban would have excluded the team despite the staff having apparently acted against the team boss's explicit instruction).

Simply because the staff weren't banned for life by the FIM does not mean they aren't about to be banned for life by the MotoGP paddock...
