Philip Alliot
Great call Dare I would never have got him

McLaren

1994

Going by the size of that rear wing it is somewhere really slow.  You couldn't drag that up the hill at Spa so I guess the circuit is the one Dare got wrong.

Jerez ??

And I originally thought it was Hakkinen, when that was wrong I knew it wasn;t
Coulthard.And I thought Hakkinen was in a bad shunt one year,so a
replacement driver

1994 Coulthard was in F3000 until Senna's accident let him in at Williams.  He didn't move to McLaren until 1996.

Hakkinen drove the 7 car and his team mate was Brundle.  Hakkinen was suspended for the race.  I can't find out why.

Alliot drove 2 races,Spa and Hungry.Could Coulthards helicopter have had something to do with that

Wasn't Hakkinen suspended for causing a 9 car pileup

I feel  protest coming up.  The pic is Hakkinen probably at Monaco.  Alliot always wore a white helmet with an A motif on the front.  I can only find one pic of him at that race and it shows he is wearing his normal helmet.

my first guess was Hakkinen at Monaco but I had the year wrong.Your observant

By the way I got my Jim Clark gloves from that link you gave me

As Wiz said it didn't look like Hungary and I remberred Alliot's helmet design so I had to go and find out if I was right.

I hope you get a lot of happy miles out of your gloves.

This is the link I found the pic at.  According to it Hakkinen got the blame for causing a multi-car pile up at Hockenheim.  Alliot was forced on to McLaren as a test driver by Peugeot.

Hmmm this is interesting, my sources claim that Alliot only entered one race (in a No.7 McLaren) in 1994 which was obviously Hungary.

Oh well, these things get the old brain cells working.

As far as I can see he drove a Larrousse in Belgium.

I found he was the Mcclaren test driver,he drove at
Hungry when Hakkinen was serving a 1 race suspension.

He also drove a Larrousse at Spa,both having a Peugot
may have been the reason for this
