Title: Indy aeroscreen
Post by: Dare on October 02, 2019, 09:25:49 PM
Dixon says it'd like a road car and that's exactly what it looks like.
Takes the open out of open wheel racing.

Can't say I'm a fan, but if the drivers are okay with it, that's good enough for me.

I'd be concerned about water/oil getting on it.  The visors they can wipe with a glove, or use a tear away.

They look like a copy of the ones on NHRA Top Fuel Dragsters. They certainly make the F1 Halo bars look much better by comparison.

I agree with Jeri about them getting dirty. Look at the oil and grime on the nose & leading edges of an Indycar after a race & imagine trying to see through it,

All they need is windshield wipers.  :D

They look awfully similar to Le Mans closed cockpits, thought they might be more raked and lower.
