Title: 89 Year Old Woman puts 540,000 Miles on car
Post by: cosworth151 on March 12, 2010, 02:48:35 PM
This is cool!

An 89 year old lady has put over 540,000 miles on her 1964 Mercury Comet. She's the original owner.

She has always bought "lifetime guarantee" parts. She's gotten 6 free replacement batteries!  :yahoo:

I thought I was bad. I bought a brand new Citroen AX (a small French hatchback for our non European members) for just short of £8k. I had it for nearly 8-years and put 192,000 miles on the clock, nearly twice round. Needless to say me and my now wife went everywhere in it. In that time I possibly changed every wearing part on the car. I would like to say I loved the car, but I was dripped up for 5 years at the start and for the remaining years I had a new house to pay for so I could not afford to have anything better. Sold it for £300.

You gotta love this old girl, what a brilliant story.
