The last new version of the current Mercedes SLR will be the SLR Stirling Moss. It's named in honor of Sir Stirling's win in the 1955 Mille Miglia and will be debuted at the Detroit Auto Show.
The car has a carbon fiber body. Power comes from a 5.5 liter supercharged V8 with 650 hp. It will do 0 to 60 in 3.5 sec and tops out at 217 mph. The interior is mostly carbon fiber, aluminum & fine leather. It includes an aluminum plaque with Moss's signature engraved on it.
It doesn't have a windshield or top, only 2 small wind deflectors. Because of this, it won't be available in the US. It comes with two tonneau covers which can be stored in the trunk.
The price will be €750,000 ($1,040,624, £700,568). Only 75 will be built, and will only be offered to current SLR owners in Europe.
