Blimey, gonna run to 8 episodes, but with over 60 years in F1 there's a lot to cover I guess. ;)

Sounds like it could be very interesting. Like him or not, he was at the very center of F1 for a long, long time.

It will be an interesting series to watch.
He certainly changed F1.
Is there a good book on Bernie's life anyone can recommend?

I've reckon Bernie Ecclestone 'King of Sport by Terry Lovell (first published in 2008) is worth a read.
I read about a quarter or it when I borrowed it from a friend who said it was ace. I had to hand it back when I moved house, meant to get another copy but not really thought more of it til now. ::)
Good early years stuff in pages I read about how he built up motor cycle and then used car firms, giving him the cash to explore motor racing as a hobby at first. Gives more perspective for why he took risks to make money and exploit the commercial side of F1, I think.

Thank you, John.

Until Bernie stepped in F1 was a shambles it was unknown who or if anyone would turn up for a GP and a mystery if you would get paid then Bernie stepped and started organising and the rest is history.

If you find "Bernie's Game", it's the same as "King of Sport" minus a couple of chapters on Bernie's QPR episode - almost all of the F1 stuff is there. It's a very good book.
