Title: 2018 Grid Game Final Results
Post by: Wizzo on November 26, 2018, 01:15:35 PM
The 2018 F1 season is over and that means we have a new Grid Game Champion.

The top two, Luke Warmwater and Mutley both scored exactly 247 points therefore we have to evoke the second ruling of how many correct pole positions were predicted by each player.

Pole Positions correctly guessed are as follows:

Luke Warmwater = 10
Mutley = 10

Another tie! Therefore we have to, (for the first time), dust off our third rule tie break rule. Which player scored the highest score in any single race in the season not including double ups.

Luke Warmwater = 17
Mutley = 15

Therefore it is with great pride that I announce that Luke Warmwater is the winner of the 2018 Grid Game and the new GPWizard Grid Game Champion!

Well done to Luke, Mutley and JohnS for such a close fought battle right to the last race. I will contact you shortly regarding the Grid Game prizes.  :yahoo:

Also my personal thanks to all the members that took part. The Grid Game is an integral part of GPWizard and has always added an extra element of excitement/frustration to watching F1 races. Please join us again for 2019 and don't be a stranger on the forums during the closed season.

Well done everybody!

Wiz

P.s. Dare, we may need to think up a forth tie break rule for next year.  ::)

Received my prize for 3rd place in this year's GG today, thanks Wizzo for such a great prize.

I chose Maldonado Lotus F1: cap, polo shirt and T-shirts.

I'm delighted I can add these to my small collection of Prost, Jenson, Clark, Hesketh, Lotus, & Tom Pryce stuff.  :yahoo:

Luke you can take even more pride in the GG Champ flags alongside your profile name.   :good:

A lesson to Max and his ilk that F1 at it's best requires gentlemanly behaviour.

A pleasure sharing the podium with you.
