Title: Facebook
Post by: Jugirl on April 27, 2011, 04:18:41 PM
Not sure how serious this could be but i was warned about it by a friend and thought i would post it up here for people to see. This is what they messaged me

"Facebook has changed again and failed to let us know about it. Take a look at your URL address (the top box on your screen.) If you see "http" instead of "https" you DO NOT have a secure session & can be HACKED. Go to Account -Account Settings -Account Security -click Change. Check box (secure browsing), click Save. Facebook has automatically set it on the non-secure setting! Do your friends a huge favour, re-post"

Well actually, Facebook did change but they did not change your settings. They added the ability to use a secure socket layer, hence the HTTPS...which is a good thing. It is another level of protection for yourself while online. Be aware though that certain things usually don't work using https....annoying things usually! Things like "how many people like me" or "what's my porn name or some game requests.
Nothing that I would miss.
