Title: Keep it in the family
Post by: Wizzo on November 03, 2006, 08:20:57 AM

The son of F1's late world champion of 1976 may embark on a racing career.

Freddie Hunt, whose British father James most notably raced for McLaren and died of a heart attack in 1993, finished second in a race of the Silverstone Motorsport Academy, according to the weekly magazine Motorsport News.

19-year-old Hunt reportedly used the racing course, in which he was ranked fourth overall, to assess a possible career as a driver.

Hunt's father is remembered for his playboy lifestyle as a driver, and later his colourful pairing alongside Murray Walker in the BBC commentary box.

Other famous sons of top racing drivers include Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve, Nico Rosberg and Nelson Piquet Jr.
