G'day Andy B,

Me and my dad have each year since 2007 and we have our tickets for this year as well.

We sit in the Brabham Grandstand and stay at the Crest on Barkly. www.crestob.com.au

The official website is pretty good in relation to the grandstands and general admission area and what you can see from them.

The motel is ok and it's only a 15 minute walk to our seats. There are plenty of places to eat near it and a supermarket that sells beer at normal prices (most important thing)! There is also a tram stop close by and with your Grand Prix ticket you don't have to pay for tram travel from thursday to sunday.

Hopefully this helps.
I can't think of anything to write here.

LOL, love to Andy, but it's the other side of the world to me.  :(

Well the thinking is over!!
I'm not going. :'(
Due to the time frame to book its too late to do it at a reasonable cost so we have agreed to do it next year booking early. :yahoo:

That's too bad Andy - make sure the plans for next year work out.  F1 live is an amazing experience, and I understand Oz is one of the best.

That's a shame about the grand prix this year. Keep looking at the official website (www.grandprix.com.au) and try to register with GP Advantage, not sure when you can register, best to check on a regular basis. That way when tickets come on sale you can buy them before they go on sale to the general public, you can usually get the seats you want then. Me and my dad buy our tickets in August and our seats are reserved for us for about a month before they can be onsold. That way if you like the race you can keep going back and are sure to get good seats!

Besides it getting late to book and hotels pretty much booked up I have to admit to too much going on at the moment with the move to New Zealand and the container arriving today.
Dissapointing but having done the British, French, Belgian and Singapore I'll have to wait to tick the Australian off my list. :good:
Thanks for all the advice.
