worked this morning and missed the race again. I got the results
off F1.com. I didn't know if they called it a rain race so check the results
a,d correct me if needed

I'm don't know what they called it, Dare. Honestly, I don't know which I'd call it myself, and I watched the entire race!

For some teams, at worst it was a bad intermediate experiment. For Gasly though, it was full on torrential rain worthy of full wets.

There was no declaration of a wet race from a tire point of view.
However, by the time it rained, all drivers had used two compounds, so no declaration would have been needed.
Most drivers only used dry tires, and the ones who used inters or wets suffered horribly for it, so I'd vote 'dry'

I'll keep it dry then.....Thanks

For my own F1 game if a lap is completed on either wet tyre it rained.
Simples.

Even though I put dry, I agree with the above simple philosophy. I think it's safe to say that none of the teams would fit a wet tyre for the benefit of the Grid Game. :DD

Usually the call is made in chat in case there are more factors to discuss. If one lap is done by one team making a desperate try for points when rain doesn’t even cover the entire track, I wouldn’t call that a “wet” race. In this case half a dozen teams went for the wets for a few laps...it would be hard to call.

Not sure it was as many as half a dozen teams trying wets - maybe half a dozen cars. :DntKnw:
All I do know is anyone who put on either Inters or Wets quickly plummeted down the order, some doing spectacular pirouettes, they all soon returned to pits to change back to slicks.
I think if no advantage gained from fitting Inter/Wets can't be called wet race! - even more simples!
