Title: Seb's New Barber!!!
Post by: Calman on March 21, 2018, 06:12:38 PM
When I was that age, the local Barber had to be Blind and hitting the Bottle to deliver a haircut as good as this .... and it cost you £1.50.  Okay, many years have passed and this boy is a Superstar, so me thinks he paid £4.00 for this masterpiece !!!!  :DD

Makes a change from hearing about Budget Cuts eh?

All the best,
Cal :)

Here in the hills, we call that a bowl cut. Put a bowl on your head & cut off anything that hangs below the bowl. They were made famous by Moe Howard of the 3 Stooges.

Yup, there was always someone in the playground being accused of experiencing "The Bowl Cut" ... and typically, it was either a lad from a poor family or someone who paid a stupid amount of cash for an "individuals haircut".

I still think Hulk has the grooviest haircut on the F1 Grid!! (or at least up until the end of the 2017 season!)

All the best,
Cal :)

Fashion?  What is this word?

As for Vettel, going extreme on the sides, rather like the Ferrari.

Wf, since my son (20) has been earning pretty good money he's into clothes, but he'll only wear something a few times so my wardrobe now holds Ralph Lauren, River Island etc. Be blowed if I'd pay £40 or £50 for a polo shirt, carry on son.  :good:

I'm about to go for a Haircut ... and I can guarantee, if I said "Gimmi a Seb 2018 Cut" ... they would have absolutely no idea what kind of cut, or indeed, who Seb actually is!!

I'll let you know if I end up with a Jim Carey "hairdo".

All the best,
Cal :)

We have a new chain of barbers here in our area of Switzerland called Hassid.  They are generally young to middle aged Turkish or Egyptians who don't take reservations (brings back the old Barbershop social time) and fly through your haircut barely touching scissors - just electric razors and finishing off with straight razors.

Fantastic job, fast, and about half the price of a normal barber/hairdresser.

If I try for a SEB haircut I'll just be another skinhead.  :'(
When you're follically challenged it's more about preservation than presentation.
Be nice to have the choice methinks.  :D

I haven't been to a hairdresser since I was 6, because I find getting haircuts (even the every-few-years trimming of split ends my parents insist is essential) painful. My parents have accepted that they will have to do any trimming they want to do of my hair themselves, and accept it will take about an hour and a half to do a minor trim.

The "fashion" comment is based purely on the increase in this 'do(n't) seen on the heads of teenagers and twenty-somethings around town. They probably tell their barber "do it like all my friends already have it" or something...
