They actually did something sensible. I don't believe it! :swoon:

I just heard Danny Ric being interviewed about it, and he had a great idea. With his usual big grin, he said, "Give the drivers one free radio call to another driver during the race. The fans would love it!"
Yes, we would!

Brilliant...can you imagine? Just open channels between two drivers for 30sec or so. I would pay good money to hear what Kimi had to say to Max last race - :DD :DD

How about a party line that connects all drivers? It could be fun: some taunting waiting for the lights to go out. I could be practical: warn about debris on track. It could even be used by the FIA to explain things on the fly, like why there are double yellows.

Yes, this is a sensible move, although I hope that it doesn't lead to driver coaching returning. They couldn't continue with the current rules though, as they had become farcical.

The only options were ever to allow all-or-none when it came to pit-to-car communications. I'm surprised teams have been conservative enough for the rule to stand for one-and-a-half seasons (counting from the first iteration of the rule, which was already unenforceable).

Shame it came a week too late for JB.
