Super cool video of a lap of the Barcelona race track, all filmed on eye level thanks to Lucas Di Grassi willing to drive with one eye closed.
Quote:" I had to drive with only one eye open as the camera was blocking my other eye, quite tricky"

How hard to spot the corners with a drivers view eh, and he was'nt even at racing speed, I'll appreciate their skill even more now. :good:

Cool! It really shows the difference between the airbox mounted camera view and what the driver actually sees.

Bobby Rahal had his CART car rigged with a camera in front of the driver, rather than on top of the car. He wanted fans to see what he could see. It is scary to see what they see compared to the luxurious view a top mounted camera has!
(Incidentally, I noticed in the video of Weldon's crash (RIP) that IRL's top mounted cameras can pivot. Wouldn't it be nice to get a side view when Hamilton and Schumacher are mixing it up? Or as cars whip past Webber at the start?)

That's the view in F1 games I never use,like Ian said I can't
see the corners properely.I too respect the drivers more and
just might try and drive with that camera view
