At the entrance to the Williams Formula One conference centre, at the team's headquarters in rural Oxfordshire, is a perfectly manicured hedge cut to resemble a race car in the pits.

Team principal Frank Williams will hope that his latest real-life racing car vehicle - launched to modest fanfare on Friday - spends less time static in the pits than it did last year.
