This is good news having two Former 1 World as F1 Stewards. ::)
-
Definitely this is great news for F1.
-
I think I would prefer to see some drivers who spent years driving cars in midfield rather than at the front also being used by the stewards, they are more likely to know both sides of the argy bargy between drivers better.
-
Certianly good news to have drivers as stewards, no doubt, but John makes a good point also.
-
Damon did have times in a midfield car, it was not for his whole career that he raced at the front of the grid.
-
About time!!!

Yeah you're right WF, I forgot he spent a lot of time in the yellow peril Jordan car after Williams saw the light and let him go. :D

I agree to an extent, but argy bargy happens throughout the entire field!!! ;)
-
It took long enough to realise that drivers are the best judge between a racing incident and an Ayrton or Prost incident. :P

Yeah, after he came in with his manager asking for millions more than Frank would ever give him, we decided someone else would be better
Then yeah, he had the Jordan drive and also a spell at Arrows immediately after Williams.
-
They've certainly earned respect in F1. How many respected career midfielders are there?
It's a great move by F1 to have racers involved in racing.
-
This would never have happened under the Max Mosley regime.

yes Chris, things are improving at long last :good:
-
Great news, now let's see how much input they get.
-
Nigel Mansell was just on the BBC after quali. He said that the FIA has talked to him about being a steward, too.
-
:DntKnw:So far it's all talk, which the FIA is very good at.

:good:A bit of progress at last then....and perhaps they could appoint one or two more ex-F1 drivers.

Herbert next to join the list.

I think Nigel Mansell might be on the payroll soon as well Chris.
-
That will be great to have Nigel on board. :yahoo:
