Title: MotoGP 2
Post by: Ian on September 10, 2018, 01:42:29 PM
This guy should have his racing licence taken away for life. This was at 140mph.

I've been a race fan for over six decades and that is just about the dirtiest, stupidest, most dangerous move I've ever seen! That jerk needs to be out of the sport permanently.

He has been sacked and the team he was to race for next year (the team whose rider he tried to take out) have cancelled his contract.  I imagine it will be hard for him to get a ride given the VR46 'scheme' already dropped him a while ago for behavioural issues.

Not even just motorsports.

Sure, NHL hockey has stick swinging head hunters, but that's usually spur of the moment anger.  Baseball has the 'bean ball' which can be wicked dangerous (a 100 mph projectile at your head, even with a helmet, is insane), but it's still something that can be expected/avoided.

I've never seen anything that dirty in any sport.

Most riders don't need to be told not to deliberately interfere with the controls of other bikes. It is rather mind-boggling that Renato apparently does.

I sincerely hope Renato sorts his temper out before deciding on his next career move. Because ban or no ban, I doubt anyone in the motorcycling world will tolerate his presence on a racing bike any time soon.
