I just read that Paul DiResta has had a seat fitting so he can take the McLaren reserve driver role. With all the talk about super licences - does he still qualify for one?
-
DiResta had a race in 2017 Williams F1 car at Hungarian GP replacing Massa, rule is if you've raced F1 in last 3 years you still have automatic right to super licence.
Esteban's last F1 race was 2016 so he has no automatic right.
Jenson too can jump in a car on this year's grid.
Any bets on Brendan Hartley getting a call from someone as he too can race? :D

It's a "last 3 complete year" rule too, so even if Paul's summoned in Abu Dhabi because everyone on the grid has food poisoning, he'd still be entitled to race.
