Title: Most Expensive Automobile Memorabilia
Post by: Wizzo on December 03, 2013, 05:25:42 PM
Steve McQueen’s Le Mans racing suit was sold in an auction for $984, 000, earning the title of the ‘most expensive piece of automobile memorabilia ever sold at an auction.’ Its expected price was only between $200,000 and $300,000!!

The item was worn by him in the legendary 1971 Hollywood blockbuster, Le Mans.

McQueen’s 1963 Ferrari 250 GT he owned in 2007 was sold for $2.3 million.

How many of us grew up with a poster of Michael Delaney (McQueen) in that suit on our bedroom wall? I did!
