The worrying thing for other F1 engine builders, if Merc seemingly small gain of a dozen HP is real, is summarised in this quote from theJudge13.com article.
"these are the latter stages of the current engine formula, and marginal gains are harder to achieve – closing up the field across the grid. Even small gains therefore make a big impact." :swoon:

It would be ridiculous to think the people who made the 'best' engine wouldn't be able to improve it.

I bet the geniuses who come up with these engine settings hate the term "party mode" ... makes is sound like a cheap Dodgem/Bumper Car (hang on, isn't that what Max drives already??? :DD )

If it is true maybe Bottas might actually be second placed in the WDC this year hehe

I thought Party Mode for Honda was what happens if an engine of theirs makes it to the checkers without the magic smoke leaking out.

I had a similar thought, the only difference being that 'Party Mode' was activated if the engine made it to the 2nd last lap, where the magic smoke "engine let go" controlled a piston, which activated one of these bad boys >>>
