Title: Stake F1
Post by: Jericoke on January 03, 2024, 05:01:03 PM
Sauber is now sponsored by a 28 year old Australian billionaire and his Stake online gambling brand.

From what I've read he sees himself somewhat like Mateshitz, dipping his toe into F1 sponsorship before fully buying a team.  Sauber looks like a great team to do that, although finding a new team to buy once Audi takes over might prove tough.

I do not care for online gambling. I feel as though it's a societal danger, but if they can limit it to make sure people are only losing money they can afford, I can look the other way while I boo them.  Still a tiny step up from crypto and a huge step up from nicotine suppliers.

Maybe he can team up with Andretti when Audi gives him the cold shoulder in 2026 Jeri.
Who knows though maybe Audi will be glad of a big paying sponser when they hit the track.
