• Andy B: Hi Wiz, I have tried to make a donation using my UK bank account but PayPal will not accept the card as I live in NZ and have a UK card? This is not your problem but is there a way I can just pay directly with a Visa card?

• Wizzo: GPW will be down from approximately 13:30 tomorrow until the migration to the new server is complete. Once the site is "live" on the new server it could take another 24-48 hours to become accessible to all users.

I've been quiet here for the last few months. The main reason is that I've been coding a game called Budacanta, based on a holiday I took to the 2018 Hungarian Grand Prix.

The demo has now launched at Spring Thing 2021, a festival of interactive fiction games. There's 38 games of various kinds, ranging from visual novels like mine to parser-based adventures like those some of you played in the 1980s (yes, there are still people making games like Zork out there). The demo has the first day of what will eventually be 12 days of holidays.

Feel free to enjoy the games, and if you play Budacanta, please do give me feedback so I can improve.

From the 4.5 litre/1.5 supercharged regs of the 50s, thru inline 4s and 8s, V12s and 16s - and even a huge V-twin, to 1.6 turbo monsters, then latter day V10s & V8s, and on to the current MgK/MgH assisted V6s.

Quite a journey, lubricated by real headspace ingenuity & loads of risk taking.

Reminds me more of Star Wars pod racing on Tatooine than Dakar style buggies. 

What strange a noise cacophony from the vehicle to accompany the desert views. 

I found this handy vid of all the lap record holders for this seasons tracks.

Surprising thing for me - there's still one unequalled record that Michael still holds.

With cars this year slower than previous iterations will many track records get taken this year?
