I read the article and basically go 'if they say so' lol.  I have no understanding at all.

I do also hope that technologies from F1 still trickle out into the 'real world'.

Seems the front 'cake tins' on the MCL39 have become rather innovative aero generators. 

This also explains why the front suspension was so drastically reworked and the steering rack moved forward.

My these F1 tech engineers have lost none of the ability to slide around FIA regs like eels across a grassy meadow.

I forgot to add Hero: Anthony Hamilton.  My favourite image from the weekend was seeing Hamilton comforting Hadjar on his way back to the pits after spinning out on the formation lap.

We don't talk about racing dads (or family) often (except Verstappen and Stroll), and certainly Hamilton deserves credit as one of the best.

Nick has won:- Le Mans 24hr, Petit Le Mans 10hr, Nurburgring 24hr, Spa 24hr, Daytona 24hr, & now Sebring 12hr.

Guess this is almost as good as getting the Triple Crown of Monaco GP, Indy 500 & Le Mans 24 hr for F1 drivers.

I am going to add all the rookies who spun out to the hero's list, especially Isack Hadjar. I really hope he doesn't dwell on his warm up lap exit for too long (or at all). He's not the first and won't be the last to have that happen.

In a race where experienced drivers like Alonso and Sainz ended in the barriers and pretty much everyone went off track or had a spin, including Norris, Piastri and even Verstappen (very slightly), there's no shame in not finishing this race.

Looks like it might be another really long season for us Haas fans.

I originally picked 5 dnf's but thought that might be a little high even in the rain. I changed it to 4. Oh, well........

I did enjoy following K-Mag & Grosjean in GTP class at Sebring Saturday.

Heroes

Norris.  Winning a wet race is about as heroic as an F1 driver can get!

Verstappen.  Managed to put a few scary moments behind him for a close second

Antonelli.  Top 5 finish in his first race, a wet race, when other rookies were very much looking the part.

Albon/Williams.  One race a season does not make, but I think it's safe to say the off season talk wasn't just talk.

Hulkenberg.  One race in, already outscored his team's entire output from the previous season!

Zeroes.
In a wet race, it's hard to assign zeroes.  The on track racing is difficult, strategy calls are as reliable as BINGO calls, so getting it right, or wrong isn't really worth highlighting as terrible or enlightened.

That said, I feel like Hamilton and Ferrari have gotten off on the wrong foot.  I wonder if they every actually simulate race conditions in the simulator.  It feels like they've never talked before.  Trust needs to be built up and it's not there yet.

I really don't like the idea of artificially enhancing racing give the teams more flexibility to come up with improvements rather than all the restrictions we have now and with the budget cap everyone is in the same boat.
