Title: Drive an F1 car
Post by: Wizzo on April 26, 2006, 10:35:51 PM

Ever fancied driving a genuine F1 car? Stupid question, of course you have, well nows your chance.

Damon Hill's famous P1 club is offering an F1 experience consisting of a morning learning the Circuit De Catalunya (home of the Spanish Grand Prix) in a Martini Renault F3 car, then you will be back out on the 2.9 mile circuit for 5, 10, 15 or 20 laps, (depending on what package you purchased), in a 1997 Benetton, 2001 Prost or 1996 Arrows car.

All cars are fitted with paddleshift gear change, traction control, carbon brakes, no rev limiters, and 700bhp making this as close as you can get to the ‘real thing’ on a GP circuit!

Barcelona's five-star Grand Marina Hotel boasting a roof top pool, with glorious views over the port and the city will make a fitting residence for budding F1 drivers!

Price per person: £4,995 - £11,995.

There are all sorts of companies that will let you drive an F1 car for around £1500.  AGS run a fleet of F1 cars for the general public to drive.  www.iwantoneofthose.com market F1 drives and www.adren-a-line.com have been doing F1 drives for years.  Believe it or not they used to let you drive F1 cars at Spa.
