In the IndyCar race at Watkins Glen this past week-end, Danica Patrick almost took out Dan Wheldon's Target-Chip Ganassi pit crew. During a pit stop under caution, she over-cooked the car pulling out of her pit box. The car then fish tailed and went head first into Weldon's pit, where his crew were standing after their pit stop. It's a miracle she didn't kill someone.
Her penalty? A stop-and-go drive-through! Unreal!

i think a penalty was harsh as she didn't do it on purpose (i hope)
-
I think she got off lucky, that was reckless driving in the pit lane
-
it was lucky nobody was killed and she probaly apologised when she saw them
-
This isn't her first such pit mess. They need to park her for a week or two.
-
i don't know as she is only human and humans can make mistakes
-
As Cos posted Mitch, she was in a pit stop under caution, that says it all
-
see what you mean but accidents can happen

Still, Hamilton and Rosberg got ten-place drops for being reckless in the pitlane, and neither of them were a health hazard in quite the same way as Patrick.

That was scary. She is lucky they dove over the pit wall. If that car had bounced to her right, she would have taken out plenty of people. Stop and go is nothing. I'm surprised a couple of the Wheldon boys didn't haul her out of the car and slap her around for that one.
