Of course, today was an extra-special birthday because I got a race on it. So at 5 am, I woke up, turned on my laptop, plugged in my earphones and listened to 5 Live commentating on the first race of the year. Force India gave me a lovely present (a double-points finish).

After the race ended, I gave Mum her Mother's Day present (a comedy CD), then chatted on the internet for a bit. Then I watched Channel 4's highlights with Mum and some cheese sandwiches (the sandwiches lasted longer than the Honey Badger's points chances, alas).

Soon after that, Dad came back home. We ate chocolate birthday cake, played computer games until the replay was available, then Dad and I watched the F1 together. (Incidentally, it was interesting to see the different reactions. Mum thought it was fantastic, Dad thought it was rubbish and I was in the middle).

Finally, we all ate lots of lasagne and I went home. (I'd been at my parents' house since Friday night, where I was picked up from a Comic Relief call centre. Saturday had been spent largely on computer games and going out for a meal. Where I learned not to order that place's crumbles because their crumble is painfully sharp and tastes like gravel).
