Title: The New F1 Ferrari F14-T
Post by: cosworth151 on January 25, 2014, 05:24:19 PM
The official roll out video for the Ferrari F14-T. A different interpretation of the droop-snoot. Lotus is still the least ugly of the new cars, IMO.

Since we know from previous years the roll outs have most of the trick aero stuff missing or disguised, I think we can expect the noses on nearly all the cars to change before OZ. We just don't know how much. I would bet Ferrari has an anteater nose, ready to evaluate, stashed in the travel kit.

It looks a lot better than the McLaren at least, but it's still not very flattering.  The overall package doesn't look too bad to my untrained eye though, so maybe Alonso and Raikkonen can give Vettel a run for his money this time.

Reminds me of a vacuum cleaner - hope it doesn't suck though!

I'm surprised that they stayed with pull rods. They haven't really had much success with them so far.

In the later part of 2012 & the early part of 2013, they were singing almost in the same tune to Red Bulls pace, so I think Ferrari have cracked that Pull-Rod system. Ferrari said they were working on the car for 2 years, they have deployed the Pull-rod system for the two years, so I believe it was their design philosophy. But it will all come down to how much they could match the others in the whole season, not just in the early or later part of the season.

I like the fish mouth like front nose on the F14-T, it's distinctive at least. I'm old enough to remember the shark nose Ferrari and that seemed to do Ok, so maybe this one will work out.

Just wonder though how much these early renderings from the teams will stand up once we reach the first race of the year?  ;)

Least offensive nose so far...I like the Ferrari, just wish it didn't still have Phillip Morris banking it.
