Alonso is giving McLaren until September to shape up. If not, he's heading for another team.

Why would he stay?

I don't think Vettel wants Ferd there and who can blame him.He and Kimi
seem to hae a good working relationship going and contrary to what's being
said I don't think Kimi is under performing this year.
Don't think Lewis wants him at Mercedes either so maybe he'd better look into
Indycar

I'd love to see Alonso (and Kimi... and everyone else) end up at competitive teams in 2018. I'd love another season like 2010 with so many drivers in contention for the WDC.
I hope Liberty is willing to get involved and try to engineer something... either tweaking the rules (I know FIA sets the rules, that doesn't mean Liberty can't try to influence them) or finances.

How about if the last place team got the biggest share of the money. :DD :DD

Some teams might try to beat the record for least finishes in a season - ever! :D
Would certainly make guessing DNFs in the GG just a tad more tricky ;)

I have never rated Kimi that highly so why would Vettel want to change him for someone who is likely to threaten his dominance within the team? Toto said that they would have to seriously consider if having Lewis and Fernando together was worth the grief they expect it would bring!

Kimi in his early Mclaren days was both fast and fearless.Ask Fishichella about the pass at Japan....you knew he was gonna make the pass

I've always believed his WC came from McLaren as they were to busy trying to sort out the squabbling drivers to what was going on around them was that the start of the McLaren downfall?
