Title: Dick Dale dies.

Those of us of a certain age remember Surf music, most famously done by the Beach Boys. It all started with Dick Dale who want to produce a sound that made him feel the way surfing did.

A friend told me about it last night. I've always been a fan of surf guitar. Ironically, he died almost exactly one year after the other great icon of surf guitar, Nokie Edwards of The Ventures.

They're probably having one whale of a jam up there.
