Rumour has it Bahrain is the place to be this weekend :yahoo: Now I just have to convince the hubby that it would be a suitable Mother's Day gift hehe.

Much as I respect Alonso, surely you would think that this would slightly P*** O** the current drivers. Isn't it their job as McLaren drivers to develop the car in the way that "they" now prefer it, not Alonso??
Best Regards,
Cal :)

I can understand McLaren wanting the opinion of someone with Alonso"s experience and the ability to directly compare this year's car to last year's. Neither Sainz nor Norris have much experience with last year's disaster.

I am glad Fernando didn't take part in pre-season testing as it gave the new drivers a chance to get used to the car and also showed they had confidence in the car. However, doesn't Fernando testing the car after Bahrain show McLaren are desperate for ideas?? I guess if that is true, who's brain could be better picked?
Go get em tiger ;)

The car seemed decent in OZ. Norris made Q3 and Sainz was pretty sure he could have made it. I think they are definitely ahead of last year. Saw a note that said Kubica has been told to stay off the curbs in Bahrain as they don't have enough spares to fix the car if it breaks.

Alonso did a fine job of getting the best out of a bad car last season and right now they need all the help they can get.

Please make sure you drink enough water - it's hot out there and I don't want you to end up like I did after Hungary last year...
