Todays victory has put Fernando on 32 race victories one ahead of Nigel Mansell in 4th place overall. Only 9 more to go to equal the great Ayrton Senna. Should be there by the end of the season then....;)

Even if he doesnt do it by the end of the season with all the years he has left its only a matter of time. Total respect for Alonso what a driver he'll go down as one of the best of all time.

I think Fernando deserve to be in that lot with Alain & Ayrton. Definitely he is among the best of the best of this sports. I wonder if he had just kept himself in the Mclaren and Ferrari giving him a bit more better cars in the previous races, he would passed that mark by now.
Ayrton reached the tally within 10 years in F1, Schumacher made it also almost within 10 years, Fernando is not that far, but his second stints in Renault & few bad cars by Ferrari means he is lagging behind slightly

Without doubt his two seasons at Renault after the McLaren episode cost him in the record standing....but if he had stayed at McLaren I think there would have been bloodshed.

Could also have saved Ron about $90m over 'Stepneygate' if the Nando & Lewis tomfoolery had not got out of hand. :D

I think we've seen that moving team to team has become a bit of a crapshoot in F1. Alonso surely would have won a championshp at McLaren... just as he surely should have one at Ferrari by now too. Sometimes the car and team just doesn't suit the driver. That's the nature of F1.

I think this year will prove that Fernando and Ferrari are a winning team...well, it better as I have put a bet on hehe
