Title: A New American Hope?
Post by: PG_Gabriel on March 05, 2014, 04:40:00 PM
Us Americans have really been lacking in formula one drivers, especially good American drivers.. Rossi and Daly are good, but personally I don't think either has what it takes to win a championship. But there is a new name on the block, Santino Ferrucci. Not a very American name but he has just signed for this Euro F3 season, and he is only 15! Antonio Ferrari (owner of the team he has signed for) says he has never seen a driver with as much talent as Ferrucci. Some of Ferrari's former drivers are: Daniil Kvyat, Carlos Sainz Jr and Felipe Nasr.

Lets keep our fingers crossed he will produce an American star!

It would be amazing if an American (or Canadian for that matter) managed to break in to F1 again.  Good luck to Santino!  Having a good Italian name will help the Europeans overlook his roots as well.   :good: :good:

I think it'll be hard for F1 to get mass appeal in the USA until Americans are winning in F1.  Obviously there has to be Americans in the sport for that to happen, so it's a good first step, and best of luck to the lad!
