Renault Sport bites the dust, long live new King - Alpine
« on: January 04, 2022, 10:12:49 AM »
Renault sport has now finally withered on the vine and Alpine becomes the only racing brand of the group.

No news though of any new sporty cars on the horizen.  :(

Certainly 'branding' is a big thing these days, megacorporations with scores of 'sub brands' can cause all sorts of confusion and infighting.

Honestly, I feel like if your company owns brands that are confusing and infighting, the problem is at the top, not with the sub brands, but no one has entrusted me to run a multibillion dollar corporation, so what do I know?

On the opposite end of the spectrum, you'll have a single Asian company slap the exact same brand on a pack of playing cards, a military tank, and the largest container ship ever built.
